Chanakya in his quest to unite India under Chandragupta Maurya had once said- “Never underestimate the power of propaganda”. That was Chanakya, 2400 yrs ago. Today again we have a batch of politicians who are using his teachings to divide the Bharat that took millenniums to unite.
Suddenly a CD surfaces “exposing” and questioning the moral authority of certain key figures of “civil society”. RTI activists are attacked with swords, Our financial adviser goes on record saying lets legalize the graft, our union minister says how the law banning the graft benefit the “common man” who is struggling to get food in his stomach, some say the leader of the movement who till date had no political ambitions or credentials is a RSS man creating trouble, and of course a PIL to question the “legality” of the committee… and I have missed out on the criticism of the law as something which will destroy democracy.
Wow… it suddenly seems so pointless to fight for a change for justice who will ensure that the funds for poor reach the poor, and those who hijack the right of others are brought to justice. Such a vicious campaign that has come into force, for the first time our politicians are united as one under the banner of graft, I wish had they been so united for India we would never have had this movement in the first place.
How many in India can tell how many zeros are there in 1.7 Lakh Crore… I am an engineer and have master’s degree and still baffled me, just imagine the sheer number of people who are left uneducated because this 1.7Lakh Crore instead of going into national treasury is going into a person’s pocket, not to forget any1 who has seen this money is dropping dead like flies.
Imagine what this money can do for our police, don’t for one moment forget that how a fully equipped police force save the lives of people in a 26/11 like episode.. Don’t for even a moment doubt how this money can help the millions of soldiers on the borders of this country. How many lives we can save for this money? Imagine the number of hospitals we can have in rural India saving the common man.
Don’t forget that this 1.7 L Crore was earned by selling the country to Lakshar’s militants and don’t underestimate the power of this propaganda which can very well let the man accused of all of this walk free.
And after all of this if we say that the biggest disservice that you can do to this country is to be cynical and loose faith in the very movement which has brought home the fact that there is no democracy in this country, it’s a sham and in the cover of democracy we have the most corrupt government which is stopping at nothing to once again subjugate us and rule over us.
